Jackie B wrote a review May London, United Kingdom 7 contributions. Very disappointed. Last year we were unable to go to our regular hotel as their referb was over running so through our travel agent to this hotel what a mistake we made.
Hotel needed a good clean furniture on the outside terrace was all falling apart with sharp bits sticking out.
On complaining to our rep they offered a late checkout for free but as we were leaving by midday not much of an offer eventually they left us a bottle of fizzy wine and two very green un edible apples in our room and to think this cost us more.

We booked this hotel because we couldn't get into the Gloria Izaro in Lanzarote and because we had been to San Agustin before. There was no explanation of how aircon worked, nobody told us we had to pay for the safe and then the bald man on reception sarcastically told me it didn't work because I hadn't paid for it as if I should have known , nobody showed us where the restaurant was or what the wrist bands were for basically the wrist bands are swiped and it goes on your bill Room was very comfortable and had a great view.
Cleaner was really friendly and had to let us into our room once because one of the key cards didn't work. Food was ok but nothing special.
Staff were generally rushing around and not particularly friendly. We didn't feel at home or appreciated. Pool was ok. There is a steep hill up to the hotel which is a bit tiresome.
There is a free shuttle bus to 2 local beaches which was good. Would I return? There are quite a few like that. Vanishing for some odd reasons several days a year just to pamper themselves.
No rush, no schedules, no work-related thoughts, no clocks. Sometimes they even refuse to carry a name. All these weird members of the Quiet Winters and Summers Club are determined to keep their members cards active forever, passing them down from generation to generation.
